What's Next for Quinton Rampage Jackson? Not Looking Too Good Right Now....

After losing to Forrest Griffin by a controversial decision in UFC 86, and now having an upcoming trial to contend with because he evaded arrest in a high speed chase with California police recently, his future is looking not too bright, indeed. Rampage now faces one felony count of evading while driving recklessly, one felony count of evading a peace officer and driving against traffic, three misdemeanor counts of hit and run with property damage, and a misdemeanor count of reckless driving. That's a big damn list of charges to try to beat, and all I'm thinking is, what the hell was HE thinking about when he committed this nonsensical act? With a UFC career off to a good start, and with still many more good fight years left in him, this was definitely the bone headed move of the year.

Right now, he's out on $25,000 bond, and is also still eligible to fight in the UFC. The loss to Griffin was the beginning of this downward spiral for Rampage, but with the rumors of him being part of upcoming UFC 91, he might have a chance to redeem himself. If he doesn't get locked up first, that is.

Exactly who he'll be fighting has not been announced yet, but Mauricio "Shogun" Rua's name has been bounced around a bit as his next possible opponent. However the whole legal mess turns out, let's just hope that Quinton gets it together and gets back on the right track. A successful career in the UFC is a terrible thing to waste! ;)

Rampage is truly an idiot! Fame and fortune brings out the worst in most people it seems. So many idols and icons get in trouble after being in the limelight!
